Abstract :
Fuel cell and microturbine based distributed generation (DG) system are one of the promising source due to their operating efficiency, reliability and power quality. Thus, the selection of their operation is essential to obtain the maximum efficiency of two individual sources. In this paper, the genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm has been used for the efficiency evaluation for the hybrid DG systems. The comparative results are presented for GA and PSO in terms of number of iteration, processing time and solution quality. The model is presented in Matlab/Simulink environment and the simulation result show the performance of fuel cell and microturbine whit GA and PSO algorithm.
