Abstract :
Web usage mining is to find the usage pattern of web pages from weblog records in order to get an improved understanding of user´s way of accessing web pages. This information is especially valuable to the web master´s to optimize the page navigation plan according to the page of interests for the visitor and it also helps in quantifying the visitor preferences. In this paper, an attempt is being made to in-corporate preference of visitor and their navigation behavior to identify the optimize web path traversal pattern. We propose an improved web path traversal technique on a real world scenario considering some important facts: Access Frequency, Time, Mouse click and Mouse movement. A comparative evaluation is performed on the basis of traditional web path traversal pattern and on proposed approach. The experimental result suggests significant improvement in the decision making process for better client satisfaction and improve development process.
