Abstract
An arbitrary resampler performs interpolation of a sampled data signal, computing sample values of an underlying analog signal located on one set of periodically spaced sample locations from data samples located on another set of periodically spaced sample locations. This paper describes the interpolator and control mechanism that maintains the proper interpolation ratio through the range of frequency tolerance and slow drift of the input and output sampling clocks. Resource utilization for an FPGA implementation is summarized.
