Abstract :
In this paper, an information hiding scheme is proposed for the MDC-OFDM (Multiple Description Coding-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) wireless networks. The secret information is embedded in the carrier image by the dither modulation method in the DWT domain, and then the carrier image is encoded by the SPIHT (Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Tree) method and transmitted through the MDC-OFDM wireless networks. In communication, diversity can be used to combat multipath fading and improve the performance of the wireless multimedia communication systems. The MDC-OFDM system takes advantage of both multiple description source coding and frequency diversity techniques. The multiple description source coding using an FEC (Forward Error Correction)-based strategy. The configuration of the OFDM system determines the packet loss rate. By carefully selecting the parameters of the system, both the carrier image and the secret information can be successfully transmitted to the receiver side.
