Abstract
In this paper we have reviewed the Wilton vector diagram for electromagnetic fields and potentials for the Lorenz, Coulomb, temporial, and radiation gauges. The vector diagram is not only a useful visual aid when comparing the transverse and longitudinal properties of the fields and potentials of different gauges but also in obtaining the differential and integral equations for the fields and for the vector and scalar potentials.
