Abstract
This paper discusses a prototype of an application which combines the power of a relational database management system (RDBMS) and a fuzzy rule-based expert system (FRES), the role of FRES is a back end for the database to overcome fuzzy information, taking the results of a query and analyzing it with rules in order to make recommendation, in this integration, the RDBMS has other important tasks which include providing a graphic interface for designing membership functions of the FRES, preparing input data for the FRES by analyzing raw data, interpreting the resultant data from the FRES into more meaningful information, the RDBMS is developed using paradox for windows version 4.5, the FRES is developed in C language using Borland C++4.0
