Abstract :
A general equivalent circuit model for the analysis of frequency selective surfaces has been presented. The lumped parameters representing the periodic surface are explained and commented. Influence of thin dielectric substrates on FSS behavior is analyzed determining a simple model to correct the lumped parameters. FSS periodicity can be changed by scaling all lumped parameters by the initial and actual periodicity ratio.
