  • Abstract
    China is entering the aging stage and the old people number is huge. Universal design is the trend of product design to meet the particular requirements for the industrial design. In this paper, an analysis method based on data mining is proposed to evaluate Chinese elderly living and survival situation, which can provide valuable and prerequisite information for universal design. With clustering technique in data mining, elderly people´s living situation was classified and suggestion to improve it is discussed and provided. Results show that, the proposed method is effective for analysis of Chinese elderly people´s survival situation.
