Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to find the optimal circuit parameters of a permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) for an electric or hybrid traction application. The problematic is first introduced. The PMSM model is presented. A discussion about the optimization objectives is presented in order to withdraw the most relevant ones. A multi-objectives and multi-constraints optimization using a genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) is eventually implemented in order to find the parameters values that optimize the selected criteria while respecting the specification sheet constraints.
