Abstract :
High level synthesis has seen increasing industry use in recent years. In the first part of the tutorial, a complete set of fundamental high level synthesis algorithms capable of synthesizing simplified C language will be presented. In the second part of the tutorial, the challenges and potential solutions for production C-based synthesis tools will be discussed. The intended audience is researchers in computer-aided design and compiler, as well as chip designers interested in deploying high level synthesis tools.
