Abstract :
In this paper an Aircraft power generation topology is proposed for a More Electric Engine. There two generators are attached to the engine, a startergenerator on the high pressure- and a generator on the low pressure shaft. Both electric outputs are connected in parallel and feed together one 270 VDC power system of the airplane. The aim is to control the power of the two generators. Therefore several control concepts are suggested which are analyzed in error-free operation as well as in error condition. Via a simulation model it is shown that all proposed concepts can realize the power splitting between the two generators. However, there are differences in the control dynamics and in the behavior under error conditions.
