Abstract
New analytical definitions of stabilizability and detectability for a linear time-varying discrete-time system are given. It is shown that, if a linear system has these properties and has reachability and observability matrices with bounded pseudoinverses, then external or bounded-input-bounded-output (BIBO) stability of the system is equivalent to internal or uniform asymptotic stability
