Abstract :
In this paper several antennas and configurations were investigated, focusing on phantom hands for browsing stance. It has been found that ldquooverlappedrdquo and ldquointerlacedrdquo grip styles have a similar impact on both absorption and mismatch loss, as only the fingers in close proximity to the antenna give a significant contribution in determining the total loss. Moreover, allowing different hands´ overlap configurations, it was found little difference in the loss amount. This suggests that a proper hand phantoms´ configuration may mimic the influence of many grip styles that despite being topologically different, influence the antenna efficiency in a similar way.
