Abstract :
In this paper, a new fourth-order buck converter is proposed. This converter gives identical bucking feature as that of conventional buck converter with reduced ripple current on either sides of the converter. Through steady-state analysis converter performance and then converter elements design expressions are obtained. The proposed converter performance is compared with conventional buck converter from ripple current point of view. State-space analysis established and then discrete-time models are obtained. Using these discrete-time transfer functions digital controller is designed, and then regulation features are studied through simulations. Experimentation is performed on ISO watt, 48 to 28 V prototype for validating proposed converter performance.
