Abstract :
The resource-partitioning phenomenon of engineering surveying and design enterprises on the mainland of China is studied with the method to compare and analyze variables of the niches. The research shows that the generalist engineering surveying and design enterprise occupies the dominant position in the resources of the community, but the occupancy ratio of its resources decreases with time. The specialist engineering surveying and design enterprise occupies the inferior position in the resources of the community, but its occupancy ratio of its resources increases with time. The current qualification administration is not only unfavorable to the growth of the specialist surveying and design enterprises, but also to the fostering of the large generalist surveying and design enterprises. The evolutionary law and the operation mechanism of the engineering surveying and designing enterprises community are expounded based on the resource-partitioning theory. It is suggested that the corresponding administrative system conducive to the forming of the rational niche structure for the enterprise community should be established.
