Abstract :
In the paper we show how can control temporal shape of laser pulses; using the phenomenon of a coherent population trapping (CPT). Temporal compression is demonstrated as a special case of pulse tailoring. In addition, it is discussed manipulating of a temporal shape of retrieved pulse recorded on basis of CPT
