Abstract
This paper reviews the initial progress of a concept developed to enhance the development of the electric vehicle. The concept is to have University teams prepare the electrical propulsion systems for a formula race car and to compete these cars at regular racing events. The paper reviews the development of the program, the preparation of one such vehicle and it´s initial performance
