  • Abstract
It is a known fact, that three-dimensional FE-Simulations are very slow, which prevents their usability in larger system models. In this paper, a Matlab/Simulink model for a TFM is developed to enable fast simulations of complete drive systems with power converters and other components. The model is derived by incorporating precomputed FEM data into a Matlab function, thereby allowing a 4.2 million times faster computation while keeping the accuracy of a FE-Model. The model is tested with a field-oriented controller and compared to conventional FE-Simulations.
