Abstract :
In the TD-SCDMA system, joint detection (JD) is used to detect the data symbols of the whole timeslot on the receiver, which is based on the channel estimates from the midamble part of the timeslot. However, for a rapidly time-varying environment, the channel states may vary a lot within one timeslot, leading to worse performance on the receiver. Considering the multiple timeslots per subframe for one user in 144 kbps and 384 kbps services, a novel design using interpolation of channel estimates for JD of different data blocks is introduced to solve this problem. Simulation results show that there is significant performance improvement with this novel method, which is verified perfectly by MSE of channel estimates.
