Abstract
By studying the design principles of multi-valued logic circuits and adiabatic circuits, a design of ternary adiabatic T-operation circuit was proposed in this paper. First, the component-level expressions of ternary adiabatic literal circuits were derived by using the theory of three essential circuit elements. Then, the ternary adiabatic T-operation circuit was designed further by using literal circuits, realizing the function of energy injection and recovery. Finally, PSPICE simulation results verify the proposed circuit have correct logic function, and the energy saving can be achieved about 40% compared with DPL (Double Pass-transistor Logic) T-operation circuit.
