Abstract
The article describes the schema of turn-to-turn insulation and results of simulations and measurements. It shows a new diagnostic method to determinate condition of this insulation. The suggested method can be used in any kind of induction machine and it is easy to use. This method is based on breaking the passage of current in the circuit with tested coil or winding. Breaking a current of the value of 5% of the nominal current generates voltage on the terminals of the winding. This voltage is recorded by digital scope. The frequency of this voltage determines the condition of turn-to-turn insulation.
