Abstract :
As electric and hybrid electric vehicles are making their appearance on the automotive market, developers in the agricultural machinery and heavy equipment industry are working on the introduction of hybrid drives as well. This paper investigates the potential of a fuel cell hybrid drive train for agricultural tractors. It deals with the modeling and the energy flux optimization in order to increase the efficiency and to reduce the stress on the fuel cell generator.
