  • Abstract
    The advantages of using single-mode fiber optic networks for communications on military avionics platforms are well recognized. For practical implementations, network components, which are small, light, robust and highly functional are required. Currently, these requirements are not met with COTS solutions and there is a need for new devices in which the integration of optical elements are the key. The manufacturability of such components and their suitability for reuse in different architectures are also of high relevance
