Abstract :
The mathematical model of a electrical servo system accounts for non-linear uncertainties such as parameter variation, external disturbances. Variable structure control is a particularly suitable as possible control solution in electrical servo systems. The position control of electrical servo systems in the presence of unmodeled dynamics, parametric uncertainties and external disturbances was investigated. The rotor position can follow the reference trajectory accurately and the system is robust with respect to parameter variation and external disturbances. The main disadvantages of sliding mode control is chattering. In this paper, a scheme of equivalent sliding mode control based on fuzzy control is proposed. Since the fuzzy logic is applied, the chattering problem is solved. The performance improvement is demonstrated through simulation results.
