Message from the program co-chairs

We had a record number of manuscripts submitted by researchers from a wide range of disciplines including engineering, psychology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, education, and computer science. Each submission was reviewed by at least two reviewers from the Program Committee. We take this opportunity to thank the committee members for their extremely helpful comments. We think that you will be satisfied with both the quantity and the quality of the selected papers, and will find the line-up of presentations to be interesting and stimulating. In addition to the Keynote talk by Dr. Brenda Weiderhold, there are a total of 35 papers presented in six sessions including Stroke Rehabilitation, Virtual Rehabilitation, Audio and Haptic Environments, Cognitive Rehabilitation and Robotics and Functional Electrical Stimulation. There is also a special invited Panel of five experts on the topic of tele-rehabilitation sponsored by the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command.
