Abstract :
In this paper we present a novel screen design, with a new configuration, which capitalizes on the differential phase between different artificial magnetic conductors (AMC) screens, both of which are lossless. Unlike a radar absorbing material (RAM), however, which is designed to absorb the incident energy, the proposed screen diverts this energy to angles other than the incident one in order to reduce the backscattering cross-section and, hence, the monostatic RCS. The details of the screen design are given.
