Abstract :
This paper proposes a method for the design of conjugate cam of swing grippers mechanism on printing press. The polynomial of 5 degree is adopted to simulate the motion law of the grippers, and a general mathematical model is established according to the technological conditions. Based on the matrix method, the kinematical analysis model is built to gain the motion law of the conjugate cam´s follower. The parametric expressions for the conjugate cam profiles are given. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved through a design example of the swing grippers mechanism.
