  • Abstract
    In order to make the whole traffic goes smoothly, affection and coordination between vehicles, intersections, traffic signal lights, video cameras and so on must be considered. This paper presents a new coordinated algorithm to achieve an optimization control strategy by applying the mobile agent into vehicles, intersections, regions and video cameras, and by which communicating with each other. So traffic congestion and traffic accidents will be avoided and discovered quickly. Compared with the timing control method, the simulation results show that this method can obviously reduce the vehicle travel time.
