Cross-discipline, as the characteristic of urban morphology, has been concerned by many studying field scholars. Generally, geographer, architect, historian, archaeologist, sociologist, psychologist and other experts in related fields presented their respective notions and methodologies regarding their disciplinary backgrounds. Among the series studying methods, space syntax and GIS technique emphasize a need to establish a scientific basis for the quantitative approaches in comparison with traditional qualitative describing ones. In addition, field survey, semi-structured interview and cognition map as the conventional methods initially adopted by social economics and environmental psychology respectively, still are highly related to the spatial transformation of historical inner city. As a result of multi-dimension concerns of analysis method for spatial research in historical city, the systematical framework should be established to integrate various methods which could be interacted with each other to different extend in the future.
