Abstract
A control strategy for the visual inspection of manufactured objects is described. Two main aims are addressed, i.e., the ability to detect any fault on any object resting at any orientation and the ability to detect minor defects in machined features. Such a strategy would be appropriate for a hybrid optical-electronic based inspection system. This application is discussed
