Abstract
In this paper, a new simple printed dipole antenna with a pair of sleeves for 2-6 GHz WiMAX application is presented and investigated. This printed dipole has its simple structure of two parallelogram arms. By the technique of the coupling between of the printed dipole and these sleeves, it is found that other adjacent resonant modes can be excited and the wideband operation can be obtained. From the experimental results, the obtained impedance bandwidth (10 dB return loss) of the proposed antenna can operate from 1820 to 6560 MHz which is about 113.1% to cover 2.5/3.5/5.5 GHz WiMAX bands.
