Abstract :
This paper proposes a method to reduce the torque ripple of a square wave voltage-driven BLDC motor. First off, this paper reviewed an existing voltage control method to reduce torque ripple, and confirmed through it that cogging torque component still remains. And this paper proposed an improved voltage control method to offset cogging torque components. Analysis was done by using FEM model, and the results indicated that the proposed torque ripple reduces 13% compared to the existing method.
