Abstract :
We present the first widely-tunable transmitter that employs intra-step quantum wells for intensity modulation. Fiber coupled output power is >2 dBm with tuning range >40 nm. EAMs show modulation depths >20 dB, slope efficiency >7 dB/V, and 10 bandwidth
