  • Abstract
With today´s sophisticated electronics, several enhancements have been implemented in power equipment. Power has become a more visible part of the overall telecommunications system, bringing with it new features and capabilities. The current limit feature, found in rectifiers, offers many possibilities to improve system operation as well as battery reserve time. With a few enhancements, operation at high ambient temperatures can be improved, ease of adjustment can be achieved and battery recharge currents can be controlled. Consider a current limit feature that can adjust itself for abnormal operating conditions, retaining capacity, without manual intervention. Flexible and dynamic best describe the rectifier current limit of today
