Abstract
Boost converter is the common topology of power factor correction (PFC) in the market. Also, one cycle control is an attractive control as it proves its validity as a commercial IC. Recently PFC AC-DC converters have encountered low-frequency instability that increases its THD and so decreases the input power factor that breaks its operation. In this paper, PFC boost converter with one cycle control has been tested for stability. Nonlinear phenomena have been detected and their regions have been determined. Circuit parameters that affect system stability have encountered. Experimental prototype has been build in the laboratory and the captured results have agreed with simulation results in a good matching.
