Abstract
In certain switching power converter topologies like Cuk and Sepic converters, various magnetic elements can be combined together in coupled inductor and integrated magnetics arrangements. The advantages of small size and weight of integrated magnetics are combined with the low profile of flat magnetics. New solutions are presented to various problems of flat integrated magnetics such as eddy current losses due to high leakage and high residual ripple due to good magnetic coupling between windings
