Abstract
A method is presented for the unified calculation of induction heating installations comprising the HF power source (vacuum-tube generator), the impedance matching transformer and the inductor-load system. The calculation programme developed has been applied to installations for the induction hardening of steel workpieces, with the aim of comparing the process parameters predicted with the conventional calculation procedure and the model presented in the paper
