Abstract :
The aim of the study has been to develop software solutions for device individualization and to suggest add-on modules that could take advantage of the operator´s special service and content offerings for the enhancing of mobile operator capabilities during the next five years 2009-2014. Customization means receiving a tailored product or service, personalization means receiving a tailored experience, individualization means that a person builds his/her identify through choices, through comparing a personalized experience with what´s outside. Individualization has to do with roles, identity and personal choices. How could we build mobile services and content that support individualization and regard a customer relationship as a learning process? Devices are fashion-oriented, and there will be all kinds of form factors tailored for different personalities and functionalities. It´s all about the individual. One day you will carry a device tailored to this days special needs and an-other day it will be tailored for other purposes. People will equip their devices in the same way as they change their clothes.
