Abstract
With increasing the interest in environment-friendly vehicles such as electric vehicle, hybrid electric vehicle and fuel cell electric vehicles, variable speed driving systems are continuously researched and developed. The demand for the main driving motor of high efficiency, high power and high speed is highly increasing. Recently, as a motor satisfying this demand, the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor which adopted high energy density magnet is being mainly used. In this paper, electromagnetic analysis and optimal dimension design for the electric driving motor using the finite element method and MotorPro¿ software are performed. Through the experiments, the performance of the developed motor is proved.
