Abstract
The modified Fermat number transform (MFNT) and its properties are presented. It is shown that a linear convolution of two N -point sequences can be computed by taking two N -point MFNTs, calculating N multiplies, and taking an N -point inverse MFNT. Application of the MFNT to digital filtering is discussed
