  • Abstract
    A method of designing two-dimensional infinite-impulse-response (IIR) filters using nonuniform frequency samples is presented. The method is based on an interpolating 2-D continued fraction which has a number of desirable properties, including recursive computation of the design parameters, permanence, and reality of the resulting transfer function. An example is given, and areas for future research are mentioned
