Abstract :
The requirement of perpendicular recording media to further reduce spacing between read/write head and media surface will challenge tape-burnish process to produce more and defect-free media surfaces. This paper explores Taguchi DoEs application in optimizing the tape-burnishing process. The experiments show that optimized process can produce the more required media surface.
