Abstract
The paper continues investigations of antennas for the miner cardiac rhythm sensor. The sensor and the beacon are placed in the battery´s box of a miner´s lantern. Measurements of cardiac rhythm are based on measurements of reflected microwave energy. The mutual positioning of the battery´s box with the sensor and human body is changed continually. Previous investigations have shown that a simple patch antenna is not suitable for the application as its bandwidth is very narrow and sensitive to positions of a body and a lantern. New antenna designs for practical applications have been proposed in the paper. Numerical results and practical advises have been discussed.
