Abstract
In the field, a wearable computer could have the ability to act as a communications hub in addition to displaying live, shared strategic information for a particular operation. Using a wearable in the field without having a negative effect on the user is a significant and interesting challenge that is shared by many application areas of wearable technologies. In this work we identify ´minimal interface´ requirements, and present ideas, such as the use of pie menus, to try and develop a simple interface that can be used with only three buttons, enhancing and reducing the burden on limited communication channels.
