  • Abstract
More than two-thirds of enterprise architecture projects in the world are faced with failure on achieving pre-defined objectives. The major aim of this paper is to present a model for enterprise architecture (based on FEAF) project management by using PMBOK2008 framework in public utility organizations. In this regard, first the nature of IT projects and their distinct differences with other projects are explained, then enterprise architecture project lifecycle and few major issues in each phase, are presented by mapping project management requirements in the framework of FEAF with triple nine fields of PMBOK framework. Later on, by scrutinizing strengths and weaknesses of the existing, project management disciplines and also improvement areas in different phases of the enterprise architecture projects life cycle and project management principles, a new roadmap is designed and presented. The design is conducted by mapping FEAF and PMBOK frameworks as two well-known frameworks currently deployed in a huge number of enterprises worldwide.
