  • Abstract
A design procedure for sigma-delta analog/digital (A/D) converters based on a linear model is presented. The procedure is applicable to general structures with time-continuous loop filters. The method includes some design parameters that are important in a practical implementation, like loop delay, maximum loop gain, stability margins, and maximum noise power in the loop. A hardware implementation of a converter with 20 bit resolution and 48 kHz output sampling rate is described
