  • Abstract
This paper describes the application of the direct adaptive minimal control synthesis (MCS) algorithm to a specific problem in electrohydraulic control. In particular, comparative implementation studies are presented of a typical servohydraulic positioning system, as used in aerospace applications. It is shown that MCS outperforms a well-designed conventional controller, especially when the plant is subjected to gross internal parameter changes
