Abstract :
The problem of ranking methods of interval numbers is studied in this paper. First of all we introduce two definitions for interval number together with the binary algorithm. Then we present the sorts of the existing works on comparing and ranking any two interval numbers on the real line, and point out the intrinsic relation and the invalidity in these methods. We also give some new ranking methods of interval numbers. Finally, an example is proposed.
