Abstract :
Five types of active analog memories (AAMs) are proposed. Two of them extend the decay time of capacitor memory and the other three can be used as nonvolatile analog memories. In all of them information is continuously and linearly read and written. These AAMs can be used as both short-term and long-term memories in neural and parallel distributed processing networks
