Abstract :
The E-field distribution along the propagation direction and beam steering angle of a 2.45 GHz three-element dipole retrodirective array is numerically simulated under RF pulse excitation. Retrodirective array action as the position of the transmitter dipole is varied from 0° (boresight) to 15° while keeping the retrodirective array fixed is shown. It is shown that time reversal is imperative if self tracking action is to occur.
